Carer

Finding someone you can truly trust to look after a sick, elderly or disabled family member is a very difficult – and emotional – decision to make.

As they are especially vulnerable, you need to know that the Caregiver has a sympathetic blend of experience, sensitivity and compassion to treat your loved one with the respect and dignity they deserve.

At PNA, we know how important it is to find the right Candidate. That’s why we personally interview every single Caregiver to ensure that they not only have extensive experience of working within this sector (including nursing qualifications) but will also be patient, attentive and dependable. They must fulfil this criteria to become a PNA Caregiver.

The role
For a full-time Caregiver, the role typically involves:

  • being a trusted companion

  • caring for your family member

  • assisting with meals and nutrition

  • organising gentle exercise regimes

  • administering medication

  • changing medical dressings

  • cleaning all medical equipment

  • cleaning bedrooms

  • changing bed linen

  • cleaning bathrooms

  • assisting with bathing

  • assisting with toileting

  • assisting with dressing (and undressing).

Clearly the scope of responsibilities will be different for every family and we collaborate with you to establish your requirements. Our Caregivers will then work flexibly with you to deliver your family’s care needs.
